Wappen von Bad Heilbrunn/Arms (crest) of Bad Heilbrunn
Official blazon
German

Über einem Schildfuß mit den bayerischen Rauten in Rot eine aus silbernem Becken aufsteigende silberne Fontäne.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 13, 1958.

The upper half shows a fountain, symbol for the iodine containing mineral springs in the village, which have been exploited since 1159. The colours are those of the arms of the Benediktbeuern Abbey, to which the village belonged for many centuries. The base shows the arms of the Wittelsbach family, Dukes and Kings of Bayern, and symbolises the many privileges the spa received from them. The arms were designed in 1958 at the 800th anniversary of the spa.

Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
