Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on June 18, 1968. The lion in the first quarter is taken from the arms of the Lords Von Eltz, who owned the village in the 16th century. The crosier refers to the Wörschweiler Abbey, which had many rights in the village. The lower half refers to the agricultural character of the two separate villages.
