Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 3, 1993.
The arms show the castle of Begur on the sea (the town is a seaside tourist centre in the Costa Brava) and the royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon (the four gules pales on gold), because Begur was under royal jurisdiction.
