Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1911.

The village used in the 19th century a seal with a pine tree and the letters B and L. The pine tree is derived from the historical arms of the County Hauenstein, to which the village belonged.

The present arms were devised in 1911 and show the lion of Habsburg, holding a small shield with the arms of Austria. In the 13th century the village became a possession of the Habsburg family, Dukes of Austria.
