BLUMENAU
State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Region Hannover (1975-2001 Hannover; until 1975 Neustadt am Rübenberge)
Incorporated into: 1975 Wunstorf
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The wavy bend is the Aue which flows through the village. The silver lion is taken from the arms of the counts of Roden-Wunstorf, who had their castle in the village in medieval times. The lower half shows the typical farm decorations of the area.
