BRIGNOLES

Département : Var

Official blazon

Écartelé : au 1er d'azur à la fleur de lis d'or surmontée d'un lambel de gueules, aux 2e et 3e d'azur à la lettre capitale B d'or, au 4e d'or à quatre pals de gueules.

Origin/meaning

The first quarter shows the arms of the Provence region. The two letters B stand for Brignoles and the Bérenger family, Counts of Barcelona, to which the town historically belonged. The pales of Catalonia in the fourth quarter also refer to this.
