CANADIAN FORCES SUPPORT GROUP (OTTAWA-GATINEAU), CANADA

Coat of arms (crest) of the Canadian Forces Support Group (Ottawa-Gatineau), Canada

Official blazon

A roundel per pale Argent and Sable charged with a mullet of seven points per pale Azure and Or, within the Miscellaneous Formations/Groups Badge frame.

Origin/meaning

For the Support Group, blue symbolizes service and gold, excellence, thus alluding to its motto. The black and white background indicates that it offers its services night and day; the seven rays of the star indicate that these services are available seven days a week. The rays also highlight that the Group is instrumental in supporting the work of the commands of the Canadian Armed Forces. The star radiating in all directions indicates that the Group offers support to all units of the Forces, wherever they may be deployed on the planet.
