Origin/meaning

The arms have been officially granted on 8th September 1995.

The arms are canting; they show a castle and a saw. The local castle (now there isn't any trace of it) was an important fortification in the county of Berga, named Castrum Serris, or "the castle of saws". The bordure is a singularising element to differentiate the arms of Casserres from the ones of Castellserà, that have the same elements.
