Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 22, 1984.

Cervelló was the centre of an important medieval barony (this is shown in the arms by the baron's crown), ruled by the Cervelló family. The azure deer passing on gold are the canting arms of the barons ("deer" being "cérvol" in Catalan).
