Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on March 18, 2010.

The arms refer to the four hamlets in the municipality; the lizard is a canting symbol for Villiers-le-Lizard, the wheat indicates the agricultural character of Atraps, the well (puits) is a canting element for Spuis and the crosier refers to the parish church of Chaussy.
