Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on January 28, 1972.

The three diamonds have been taken from the arms of the De Cran family, the two black bends are taken from the two black chevrons of the arms of the Joly family, both former lords of the village. The other half shows the chief of Savoy and in the base a water mill wheel symbolising the mills in the Thiou river.
