CROISETTE

Département : Pas-de-Calais

Croisett.jpg

Origin/meaning

The above arms were proposed in 1996 and I am not sure whether these are adopted by the municipality.

The upper half of the arms show ST. Mary, patron saint of the Messine Abbey. The abbey owned most of the estate if Croisette for many centuries. The lower half shows three demi fleur-de-lis, derived from the arms of the Lords of Wignacourt, who held the estate of the same name, which now also belongs to Croisette.
