English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 6, 1999.

The crosier refers to the Reifenstein monastery in the municipality, the small fleur-de-lys to the devotion of St. Mary, the patron saint of the monastery.
The two hooks refer to the Von Hagen family, who had some possessions in the municipality.

The base shows a wheel, symbol for the Eichsfeld region as well as of the State of Mainz, to which the area historically belonged.
