Established: 1839 as the Diocese of Newfoundland and Bermuda. Bermuda was made a Separate Diocese in 1879, but the two Dioceses was under a common Bishop until 1919. In 1976 the Diocese of Nefoundland was split into the Dioceses of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador; Central Newfoundland and Western Newfoundland.
