Origin/meaning

As there were no historical seals or arms known for the village until 1919, the state archives proposed arms with in silver two canting Eiben (yew, Taxus spp) branches. The council did not approve these arms and in 1930 had a seal made with a single yew branch.

The above arms were devised in 1948 and adopted by the local council in 1955. It shows the two rivers, Eyb and Mühlbach, that convolute in the village. The chief shows a canting yew branch.
