Selected collector's items from Germany:

GÄDHEIM

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Hassberge (until 1973 Hassfurt)
Additions : 1978 Greßhausen, Ottendorf

Wappen von Gädheim

Official blazon

(de) In Rot ein silbernes Eichen-, Linden- und Kastanienblatt im Dreipass.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 1, 1980.

The three leaves represent the three former municipalities. The oak leaf stands for Gädheim, as part of the lands around the village are known as Eichenbühl (Eiche=oak). The chestnut leaf refers to the two large monumental chestnuts at the time in Greßhausen. The linden leaf refers to the Türkenlinde in Ottendorf.

The colours are those of the State of Würzburg, to which the villages historically belonged.
