Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 3, 1996.

Three lakes are situated in the municipality Gössenberg, the Bodensee, Hüttensee and the Oberer See. They are shown in the arms as white triangles. The flowers are Edelweiss flowers, that grow in the surrounding mountains, e.g. the Wildspitze.
