GARLIAVA

County : Kaunas
Municipality : Kaunas

Arms (crest) of Garliava
Official blazon
Lithuanian blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 21, 1994.

Garliava had no historical seals or arms, so the arms were designed in 1994. At request of the local people an oak branch was chosen, symbol of loyalty and steadfastness. It would symbolise the traits the local people became famous for in the fight for the freedom of the country.
