Origin/meaning

The silver wavy bend symbolises the Gerdau river. The upper half shows two horse-heads, shown in a way as often seen on local farms on the rooftops. It also symbolises the State of Niedersachsen. The base shows an arrowpoint for the historical inhabitation of the area.
