Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 21, 1986.

The upper part symbolises the historical estate farm in the village and agriculture in general.

The bend with crosses is taken from the arms of the Winneburg-Beilstein family, who had some possessoin in medieval times in the area, and who ruled the village as vassals for the different lords of the village.

The sword is the symbol for St. Martin of Tours, the local patron saint since 1552.
