Origin/meaning

The arms are already known since the early 15th century. The oldest document with the seal dates from 1459, but the small shield shows the arms of the Lords of Falkenstein-Münzenberg, who owned the village before 1418. The colours are known since the 17th century. The origin of the tree is not known.
