Arms (crest) of Hørsholm

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were devised in 1938 and are based on the legend that Queen Sofie Magdalena, wife of King Christian VI, shot in the 1730's a deer in the area. She later built the castle Hirschholm Slot (Hirsch=deer).
