Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 31, 1953.

The arms symbolise the large iron and copper mining and melting industry, and are canting for the name of the town, Hütte meaning metal factory. The two diamonds are taken from the arms of the Admont monastery, which owned most of the area until the 16th century.
