Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 21, 1969.

The arms are based on an older logo of the municipality. The three pine trees symbolise the large tree nursery in the municipality, one of the largest in the world. The small wavy bar in the base of the shield is canting, Bek is stream in the local dialect.
