Wappen von Ibach (Oppenau)/Arms (crest) of Ibach (Oppenau)

German In Silber auf grünem Boden ein grüner Laubbaum mit schwarzem Stamm, auf dessen Krone ein schwarzer Vogel sitzt.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The composition of tree and bird appears for the first time on a seal of the village from the mid-19th century. In 1907 the State Archives proposed to use these elements in the arms, which were adopted by the village. In 1907 the tree was planted in a green grassy bottom, which in the 1950s was replaced by the straight green lower part of the arms. The meaning of the tree and bird is not known.
