Im blauen Schild mit rechter silberner Flanke ein silbernes Andreaskreuz, mittig belegt mit einer fünfblättrigen (2:3) roten Rose mit goldenen Kelchblättern und goldenem Butzen; in der Flanke ein gestürztes blaues Senseneisen mit nach links gekehrter Schneide.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 26, 1999.

The arms show a scythe as a symbol for the agricultural character of the municipality. The cross with the rose is derived from the arms of the Von Oppen family, whol owned the local estate to which the village belonged for many centuries.
