JOUY-LE-MOUTIER

Département : Val-d'Oise

Jouym.jpg

Origin/meaning :
These unheraldic and overloaded arms show in the base the Oise river, on which the village is situated. The tree symbolises the Bois de l'Hautil, which is on the other side of the village. The two churches are the old and new church in the municipality.

Literature : Gassowski, A : Armorial des communes du Val-d'Oise. Poster published by Gaso Mériel, 1995.
