KANFANAR

County : Istria

Arms of Kanfanar
Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms show St. Sophia, the patron saint of the city. She holds the two cities remembering the nearby ruined city of Dvigrad (literally: Double City) from which the modern town developed.

The previous arms showed the same symbolism but slightly different:

Arms of Kanfanar
