KLEIN LAFFERDE

State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Peine
Incorporated into : 1972 Lengede

Wappen von Klein Lafferde/Arms (crest) of Klein Lafferde
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 18, 1957.

The silver bend in the arms refers to the Fuhse river in the village. The linden leaf in the upper part refers to the old linden tree in the village, which dates from the 1830s. The wheel in the lower half is a sunwheel (Sonnenrad), a typical symbol in the local folk art.

The colours are those of the Archdiocese of Hildesheim, to which the village historically belonged.
