Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1574 by Emperor Maximilian II at the same time as the city rights.

The rms show a city gate, typical for Bohemian cities, with in the gate a horseshoe taken from the arms of the Lords of Proskowsky, lords of the town at the time, as well as a deer taken from the rest of the family.
