Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1560 by Emperor Ferdinand I at the same time as the city rights on request of the local lord Wilhelm von Hasenburg.
The arms show a hars, taken from the arms of the von Hasenburg family (Hase=hare) and a crown for the Emperor.
