Wapen van Lubbeek/Coat of arms (crest) of Lubbeek

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 23, 1858 and again on February 11, 1981 and February 8, 1994.

The arms show the arms of the Dukes of Brabant. The village had its own council and lords, but the justice remained a privilege of the Dukes of Brabant. Hence all the seals of the local council since the 14th century show the arms of Brabant.
