MÖCKMÜHL
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Heilbronn
Additions : 1971 Korb; 1972 Bittelbronn, Ruchsen; 1975 Züttlingen
German | Über grünem Dreiberg gespalten, vorne in Blau ein linksgekehrter, schwarz befiederter goldener Adlerfang, hinten in Silber ein vierspeichiges schwarzes Mühlrad.
Origin/meaningMöckmühl became a city in the late 13th century, but did not seem to use a seal until the second half of the 15th century, when the city became part of the Pfalz. The seal showed only the claw, which origin is unknown. In the second part of the 16th century the mountain and the canting mill-wheel (mill=Mühle) were added. Since 1645 these were the only arms used, both on the seals as on arms proper.
