====Official blazon====
===Origin/meaning===
In Silber eine rote heraldische Rose mit goldenem Butzen und grünen Kelchblättern.
The first use of the arms with a rose dates from 1603, when the arms are shown in the roll of arms of the State of Bamberg. According to legend the arms were granted in 1323, but this is considered highly unlikely. It is more likely that the arms were granted by Friedrich von Aufsess, Bishop of Bamberg from 1421-1431. The arms of the bishop also contained a rose. The arms have always showed a rose since, but the colours have differed widely. The above colours are those used by the Von Aufsess family and have been used since the late 1800s.

Origin/meaning

The first use of the arms with a rose dates from 1603, when the arms are shown in the roll of arms of the State of Bamberg. According to legend the arms were granted in 1323, but this is considered highly unlikely. It is more likely that the arms were granted by Friedrich von Aufsess, Bishop of Bamberg from 1421-1431. The arms of the bishop also contained a rose. The arms have always showed a rose since, but the colours have differed widely. The above colours are those used by the Von Aufsess family and have been used since the late 1800s.
