Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 3, 2000.

The arms show the river Sorge, which meanders through the municipality. The green fields symbolise the nature and agriculture in the municipality, with the reeds as a typical symbol for the nature and the lapwing as a typical bird on the meadows.
