Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 1, 1992.

The upper half refers to the fact that part of the municipality was mentioned as owned by the Counts of Henneberg in 1340 (rooster), and later belonged to the Duchy of Coburg (lion).

The pine trees are taken from the seal of the municipality made just after the merger in 1923. The trees then and now symbolise the local forests.
