The first quarter shows a flower of the <I>Arnika montana</I>, used as a symbol for the former importance of gathering and cultivating medicinal plants and the production of essential oils. The two points symbolise the mountains in the area, and at the same time the points form the initial of the municipality. The left half shows the local linden tree, a typical landmark in the village.
