I fält av silver ett grönt potatisstånd med blå blommor med ståndare och potatisar av guld och däröver en grön ginstam belagd med en fisk av silver med röd beväring.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 29, 1943.
The main occupations and sources of income in the municipality are fisheries and agriculture. The main agricultural crop is the potato, hence the lower part shows a potato plant. Potato starch is also produced nowadays in the area. The upper part shows an, undefined, fish for the fisheries.
