German Von Gold und Schwarz durch einen von Blau und Silber im Spitzenschnitt geteilten Schrägbalken geteilt; oben gekreuzte schwarze Schlägel und Eisen, unten ein schräggestelltes goldenes Eichenblatt.
English Per bend pily azure and Argent; Or hammer and pick saltirewise sable and sable a bendy oak leave Or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 7, 1937.

The arms are based on the arms of the Lords of Oer (bend with points). The symbols in the upper part of the arms represent the mining in the area, the oak tree symbolises the forestry and woods.
