Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on April 12, 2024.

The upper half shows three crosses, taken from the arms of the chapter of Saint-Étienne of the cathedral of Toul, to which the village historically belonged.

The wavy bar refers to the Meuse river and the local canal. The orchid flower is seen as a canting symbol for the village.

The inescutcheon is based on the arms of the Lords of Ourches, see below.

Until 2024 the village simply used the full arms of the medieval Lords of Ourches.
