Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 19, 1980.

The arms show in the upper half the lion of the Lords of Hohenlohe, who ruled the area until 1345. The lower half shows three roses, taken from the arms of the Estate and Lords of Wolffskeel, who ruled the different villages in the municipality as successors of the Lords of Hohenlohe.
