The local castle (12<sup>th</sup> century), over the river Ebro, belonged to the Templar knights of the command of Ascó, later Hospitallers since 1317. The arms show the Cross of Malta of the Hospitaller order of St. John of Jerusalem and the river Ebro (Ebre in Catalan).
