SABAH
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on 13-09-1948 to British North Borneo and were based on arms used since 1882.
The arms show a ship sailing in front of the mountain Kinabalu. In 1963 the arms were slightly changed, one of the arms holding the flag was changed from a European to a local arm.
