Origin/meaning

The arms show three wavy bars for the Canal du Loing and the rivers and streams that provide drinking water for the municipality as well as to Nemours and Paris. I have no information on the meaning of the flowers.

The chief shows the crossed keys of St. Peter, the local patron saint, with fleur-de-lys for the Île-de-France region, in which the municipality is situated.
