SAUBRAZ

Canton : Vaud

Armoiries de Saubraz

Official blazon

Parti de gueules et d'or, à la grue essorante d'argent brochante, adextrée en chef d'une étoile d'or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1922.

The crane is taken from the arms of the counts of Gruyères, as the village was part of the Barony of Aubonne, which was a possession of the counts from 1393-1554. The colours are those of Aubonne.
