Blason de Saugy
Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The willow tree (saule) is taken as an erroneous interpretation of the name of the village (which would derive its etymology from the Roman name Salvius). Saint Ursula to whom is dedicated the church and the heart of St. Augustine (patron saint of the former priory, which is represented by the crosier) are shown in the chief.
