Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1913.

The arms are based on the oldest known seal of the village, dating from 1722. The right half shows the red bend of Baden, as the area belonged to Baden since 1415. The left half shows a branch with acorns, the old village sign. The meaning of the branch, however, is not clear. The number of acorns differed widely during the 19th century and was determined as six in 1913.
