Selected collector's items from Germany:

SIEVERSHÜTTEN

State : Schleswig-Holstein
District (Kreis) : Segeberg
Amt : Amt Kisdorf

Wappen von Sievershütten

Official blazon

In Grün unter einem silbernen Wellenband in der Form des stilisierten Buchstabens S ein gemauerter silberner Glasbrennofen mit rotem Feuerloch und roten Windlöchern.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 4, 1987.

The village is named after the glass oven of Sievert Steenbock from 1492. The name first appeared in 1648. The glass oven thus represents both the name and the history of the village. The upper part shows the Bredenbek river, shaped as a letter S, the initial of the village. The green colour symbolises the nature and forests in the area. Silver and red are the colours of Holstein.
