Wappen von Sinkershausen/Arms (crest) of Sinkershausen
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1956.

The village had no historical seals or arms, new arms were thus needed. The black cross is the symbol of the Teutonic Order, which had several possessions in the area. The grape leaf is taken from the arms of the Malcomesius family, who also had considerable possessions in the village. Their arms showed a grape vine.
