Arms of Skørping

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1976.

The arms show a deer and a sun. The deer stands for the many forests in the municipality, known for their rich wildlife. The sun represents the village of Solbjerg (sun-hill), where the oldest signs of inhabitation in the municipality have been excavated.
